HOW TO FIT DRAWER FRONT - BLUM METABOX - Deep

This page shows the quickest and easiest way to mark out and fit your drawer front A video of each procedure is also shown on the product page.

| | Tools and materials required.
- Your drawer front
- Complete drawer box kit
- Measuring tape
- Set square or similar
- Pencil
- Cordless drill driver or equivalent

| | - Completed drawer box is in position
- The position of the top holes on the fixing brackets have to be transferred onto the drawer front
|

| | - Measure from the outside of the base unit to the centre of the top hole on the fixing plate
- For your reference, this size should be around 28mm
|

| | - Lay your drawer front as shown with the inside top marked in pencil
- REMEMBER to deduct the side clearance before marking the drawer front
- Just to clarify, the side clearance is 4mm because the unit is 500mm wide and the drawer front is 496mm wide
- This 4mm is halved to give 2mm clearance per side
- Mark the line on your drawer front as shown

| | - Measure from the underside of the drawer front (or worktop) to the centre of the top hole on the fixing plate
|

| | - REMEMBER to deduct the top clearance before marking the drawer front
- To clarify, the top clearance is usually 4mm - 5mm
- The top clearance can refer to the space between drawer fronts, or the space to the worktop
- Mark the line on your drawer front as shown

| | - Remove the drawer box and position it on the drawer front as shown
- Line up the top hole of the fixing plate as shown
- Line up the other side and check that bottom of box is parallel to bottom of drawer front
- Mark through the 4 holes in pencil and remove box

| | - Use your cordless driver and a screw to start the holes
- Just start the hole off, do not go in the full length of the screw
|

| | - Screw the box into place
- Try to tighten with screws in the middle of the slotted holes if possible
|

| | - Fit drawer box into unit and check gaps around drawer front
- To adjust drawer front up or down follow instuctions below
- Loosen the top screw to allow adjustment
- Turn the bottom screw to move drawer front up or down to desired position
- Tighten the top screw to secure in position

| | - To adjust drawer front from side to side follow instructions below
- The fixing plate is attached to the drawer front with slotted holes
- Loosen these screws as required and move the drawer front to desired position.
- The drawer box installation is now complete and you can re-fit the handle or knob
