HOW TO FIT RUNNERS - INTERNAL BLUM METABOX - Deep

This page shows the quickest and easiest way to mark out and fit runners for your drawer box.

| | With the drawer box assembled, you are now ready to fit the packer and runners.
- Some general observations for fitting the internal deep Metabox
- The 25mm packer supplied with your kit goes on the hinge side of your unit, and allows the drawer to clear the hinges
- To assist with the positioning of your drawer, please note that the measurement from the bottom of the box to the centre of the holes in the packer (and runner) is 150mm
- The drawer can be positioned anywhere inside your unit as long as the packer is above or below the hinge plate.
- Plan the drawer position depending on what you want to keep in the drawer.

| | - The reference point or starting point for marking runners is the bottom of your drawer box
- Decide on the position by measuring the combination of drawers you are fitting, or by holding the box in position as shown
- When you have decided on the box position in the unit, mark the BOTTOM position on to the unit

| | - From this bottom mark, measure up 150mm and draw a line inside the unit (use a set square if possible to ensure this line is at 90 degrees to the front of the unit)
- Also draw a line 5mm back from the front of the unit
- These lines mark the middle and the front edge of the packer

| | - Hold the packer in position 5mm back from the front edge
- Make sure the long line inside the unit marks the centre of the packer holes
- Put the front screw in tight enough to hold the packer in place

| | - Measure the packer back and front to ensure it is level
- Put in the other two screws to secure the packer
|

| | - Draw a line through the middle of the packer
- This line marks the centre of the holes in the runner
|

| | - Hold the runner flush to the front edge of the packer
- Ensure the long line runs through the centre of the holes in the runner
- Mark all the SMALLER holes in pencil, including the one right behind the nylon roller

| | - Measure from the base of the unit up to the centre of the packer
- Transfer this to the other side to mark the centre of the other runner
- Remember to mark 5mm back from the front edge as before
- Hold the runner over these marks and mark the small holes as before
|

| | - Use your cordless driver and a screw to start the holes before presenting runners
- Just start the holes off, do not go in the full length of the screw
|

| | - Finally, fit runner using the SMALL screw holes
- Make sure the screws do not go in at an angle, as this can snag the drawer
- Repeat the process for the other runner

| | - Put the drawer in place by lining up the rollers and let the drawer roll into position
- Installation is complete
