This page shows the quickest and easiest way to mark out and fit runners for your drawer box. A video of each procedure is also available on the product page.
|
| | With the drawer box assembled, you are now ready to fit the packer and runners
Some general observations for fitting the internal shallow Tandembox..- The 25mm packer supplied with your kit goes on the hinge side of your unit, and allows the drawer to clear the hinges
- To assist with the positioning, please note that the bottom of the packer lines up with the bottom of your drawer box
- Bottom Drawers -Tandembox runners can lie directly on the base of the unit and will operate normally.
This makes installation of the bottom drawer very quick and easy - just lay the runners on the base in the correct position, and attach straight into the side with the screws provided. (This assumes any hinges are set high enough not to interfere)
|
| | |
| | Decide on the position of your internal drawers using the following factors.. - Equally space them in the unit if you have 3 or 4.
- Space them in the unit depending on what will be stored - eg cereal boxes/tins/etc
- Mark where the bottom of each drawer will go in pencil, and proceed if there are no issues with hinge positions or space restriction.
|
| | |
| | - With the position decided, place the packer 5mm back from the edge of the unit and put a screw in the first hole
- Tighten the screw so that the packer stays in position
|
| | |
| | - Check the packer is level by measuring front and back
- When packer is level, put in the other two screws then secure all 3
|
| | |
| | - Hold the runner in position flush with the front and bottom of the packer
- Mark two or three holes in pencil
|
| | |
| | - Use your cordless driver and a screw to start the holes before presenting runner
- Just start the hole off, do not go in the full length of the screw
|
| | |
| | - Finally, fit runner using the screws supplied
- Make sure the screws do not go in at an angle, as this can snag the drawer
|
| | |
| | - With the runner and packer fitted, you can now fit the runner on the other side.
- The easiest way to do this is to measure to the hole centres on the runner just fitted
|
| | |
| | - Transfer this size over to the other side, remembering to come in 5mm from the edge of the unit
- Mark a line inside the unit using a set square to ensure it is level
|
| | |
| | - Hold the runner in position 5mm back from the front edge, with the long line running right through the hole centres
- Mark 2 to 3 holes in pencil
|
| | |
| | - As before, start the holes off with a screw, then secure the runner with four screws
|
| | |
| | - With the runners fully retracted inside the unit, lay the box onto the runners approx 25% of the way in
- Push the box downward and in toward the back of the unit
- The box should click into place in the runner and locate itself
- Installation is complete
TO REMOVE THE BLUM TANDEMBOX DRAWER FROM THE RUNNERS - Pull the drawer all the way out Hold each corner at the front Pull up the way and wiggle the drawer at the same time Don't worry, it won't break, it will just free the drawer
